Infoxchange, in partnership with the Victorian Government Neighbourhood Renewal program and ThoughtWorks Australia, were crowned winners of the national Australia Community iAward at a Gala Ceremony in Melbourne end May.
Organised by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) the iAwards are Australia's leading information and communication technology industry awards, and the Community iAward is one of the top 5 honours.
The award recognises the work of all partners involved in the Wired Community @ Collingwood project to increase computer literacy and internet access amongst residents of Collingwood’s public housing estate, the largest digital inclusion project in Australia to date. David Mejia-Canales, the project engagement officer, said that he feels proud with such national recognition.
