yarraReporter is a combination of government housing residents in the City of Yarra that have undertaken journalism training (Print and multimedia) and University students to create a unique editorial team.

| Akech Malou-A-Athiaan Manyiel is currently finishing an Exercise Science and Human Movement degree at Victoria University and is also completing an online freelance writing diploma through the Morris Journalism Academy.
He has a a keen interest in social and community issues, sport, fitness and basketball (He's a little bit of a fitness junkie!) |

Michael Hackett got involved with yarraReporter in August 2009 and has since discovered that education is vital in empowering people with disadvantaged backgrounds. He really enjoys the visual side of storytelling and news reporting. His interests lie in issues that affect the local community, especially from people that have mental health issues. |

Rachael Akibib came to Australia 13 years ago from Nauru and is the oldest of 14. She enjoys life, but also likes to complain a lot about it and tends to over analyse. yarraReporter has given her a fun and educational experience coming from a coconut island. |

Shirley Danford moved to Australia from Fiji in 1984. She has always loved writing short stories and is interested in learning about how to write in different styles and contexts. Loves to read, particularly biographies. Her kids are her life. |
